Hey Curvies!!!
I am so excited to be back and bringing you all a new series for February “Better with Black”. This series will feature creative ways to wear and style black. I typically return to black when I need a color break but this time around I am activating the color! Black is beautiful and always look good with colors. In this series I will create look with color blocking with hot pink and lavender, this gorgeous red set, and style a beautiful black and white sweater. Let’s get into this colorful in black look!
Curvies, this is the most colorful outfit from the “Better with Black” series! I was most excited about this black denim skirt, it has a spilt! A middle spilt is way out of my comfort zone, but it is so good! I built this entire outfit around a black denim skirt and I love it.
Styling this black denim skirt was a blast! I wanted to add as much color as possible. I found the cutest graphic tee that feature beautiful colors like orange, lavender, and green. I pulled the lavender out of the shirt and went my lavender knee high boots (similar) as well as my lavender handbag. I completed this look with my hot pink cropped coat (similar) (similar) and silver hoops.
Outfit Details ~ My black denim skirt is true to size in the hips but big in the waist wearing an XL, this skirt has plenty of stretch but the smaller it is the wider the split. My graphic tee is a size large and the fit is perfect. My lavender knee high boots (similar) are a perfect fit in a size 11. My hot pink cropped coat (similar) (similar) is a size XL, this coat is a couple of years old and a large would fit better.
